On June 23, 2021 Harriet was honored to present her CLE program, “Mindfulness for the Busy Attorney” for the Bucks County Bar Association. This interactive program was taught via hybrid (in-person and virtual).
Harriet highlighted how being able to increase self-awareness and move away from autopilot, and to shift from a mindset of responding vs reacting, supports an environment where stress management skills are routinely needed to help attorneys deal with situations that are both unfamiliar and uncertain.
Harriet believes bringing Mindfulness to the law profession is critical to support their practice. As the 2018 Report from the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being states, “To be a good lawyer, one has to be a healthy lawyer. Sadly, our profession is falling short when it comes to well-being.”
Mindfulness is now being incorporated by organizations to lower healthcare costs, support employees in staying focused which improves their performance, and reduce levels of stress.
Harriet Stein of Big Toe in the Water brings Mindfulness Programs to organizations of all sizes to transform employee productivity, engagement, and satisfaction.
